Facebook Updates (10/4/19)

April 10, 2019

1. Ad Library: Facebook is in the process of compiling a library of ads running on its platform, both active and inactive, local and global. While only political ads are currently available to view (did someone say Brexit?), this library may soon give advertisers access to ads across the board and become a fantastic source of inspiration and research.⁣

2. New metrics: Remember us mentioning that the relevance score will soon be replaced by new metrics a couple of weeks ago? Well, the new metrics are here! So far we’ve spotted the following metrics: quality ranking, engagement rate ranking, and conversion rate ranking. These essentially break down what goes into an ad’s final relevance score without any of the confusion.⁣

3. Message threads in Messenger: Group chat addicts, your saviour has arrived! By long-pressing on a message in a group chat, you can now reply to specific messages, making it much easier for everyone to see who’s responding to whose message. ⁣

4. Admin notes: When you delete a post within a Facebook group, admins now have the option to leave a note as to why it was removed. For those managing big groups with a large team of admins, this is a huge time-saver.⁣
